A little help for the media desk
Follow the sermon.
Bring Scripture forward.
Start listening, let the speaker speak, and choose the passages you want the room to see.
-
Start listening
Open LiveWord in an up-to-date desktop browser. Press Start listening and allow the microphone. Pick your speaker’s microphone or mixer input from the list above the button. The first time, LiveWord downloads its on-device speech model.
-
Watch the passages arrive
References like “Matthew chapter three” appear within a moment. LiveWord also recognises quotations, paraphrases and Bible stories. Every verse comes word for word from the translation you choose: the Berean Standard Bible, the King James Version or the World English Bible.
“Turn to Matthew chapter three.”
“Love your neighbour as yourself.” -
Preview, then send it live
Click Open display and move that window to your second screen. Detected passages open automatically in Preview; press Send live or Enter. Nothing reaches the screen until you choose it.
-
Keep the service moving
Use the arrow keys to change pages and B to blank the screen. Step to the next verse in the Bible reader, or search for any reference or phrase. Settings lets you download the transcript or start a new session.
Choose your speech engine
Setup downloads your chosen Bible and speech model before listening. Moonshine Medium needs about 320 MB; Small needs about 180 MB. Both include Bible vocabulary hints and reuse this browser’s cache. Settings → Manage downloads reopens setup. Speech recognition also offers the browser’s on-device English pack where available. Apple speech uses the native helper in the Mac-local desk.
Keep control during a service
Hold preview lets new detections arrive without replacing what you are checking. Pause matching keeps the transcript while ignoring references during worship or interpretation. New speaker clears the previous speaker’s book and chapter.
Open Service readings to save a main passage and prepare an ordered reading queue. Return to the main passage or choose Next reading to preview it. Sending it live is always a separate action. Readings are saved on this device; Start a new session clears them.
Finalized requests such as “read that in the KJV” change the preview translation. A held preview defers that request until Resume following. Verse portions such as “16a” show the exact whole verse with a note for the operator.
An audience-window refresh keeps its page and blanking state. If the internet drops while the desk is open, local references and downloaded Bibles remain available. Sleep or an audio interruption stops listening visibly; press Start listening after reconnecting.
What stays on your device?
Listening happens on your device and audio is never uploaded. To spot quotations and themes, the most recent words are checked by our matching service, powered by TypeSafe and DeepSeek. Your full transcript has a local recovery copy in this tab for refreshes. Download it before closing the page.
A suggestion still needs your eye
Speech can point to more than one passage, so check a suggestion before you show it. Related passages are not always direct quotations.
If recording is unavailable
Use an up-to-date desktop browser with microphone access. LiveWord never sends your audio to a cloud transcription service. You can still search for any passage.
